JUNIOR RACER The Reaction 240 Pro is made from the same kind of heat-treated 6061 aluminium tubes that you’ll find in our performance adult bikes. We also use the same mechanical tube-forming process to adjust tube shapes for the best combination of strength and weight, and tyre clearance. There’s a full carbon fork with thru axle, to save even more weight. Disc brake mounts and cable routing allow for the greater safety and stopping power of discs. And a replaceable derailleur hanger insures against expensive repairs in the event of minor mishaps FEED THEIR HUNGER FOR FUN WITH A BIKE THAT WILL KEEP THEM COMING BACK FOR MORE. THE REACTION 240 PRO BORROWS ITS DESIGN AND BUILD FROM OUR FULL-SIZE MOUNTAIN BIKE RANGE, AND ADDS A LIGHTWEIGHT CARBON FORK AND COMPONENTS DESIGNED FOR KIDS’ SMALLER HANDS. The Reaction 240 Pro has everything they need to explore their limits, and nothing they don’t. The full carbon fork with thru axle is light and comfortable. Wide-ranging Microshift 1×9 gears have the range to tackle any trail. Powerful disc brakes with Schwalbe tyres and Newmen rims – just like on our full-size mountain bikes – are extra reassuring. And contact points designed for junior proportions ensure that your young rider is comfortable and in full control, all the time. ALUMINIUM LITE There’s aluminium, and then there’s CUBE Aluminium Lite. This heat-treated 6061 aluminium is stiff, fatigue-resistant and, because of its natural corrosion resistance, a great material from which to make lightweight tube sets – and bicycle frames. And it does all this without adding unnecessary weight, so you can get the best enjoyment out of your CUBE. SMOOTH WELDED HEAD TUBE Our Smooth Welded Head Tube undoubtedly looks great, with top and down tubes appearing to almost flow into it. But there’s more to it than that, because this almost organic approach to frame design also helps to distribute stress loads more evenly around this critical frame junction. The result? Amazing looks and better strength and durability.
